It is the same as standard camera module but without infrared filter, making it more suitable for photography and video in the dark. It utilizes IMX219PQ image sensor, providing high-speed video imaging and high sensitivity. Furthermore, it also reduces image pollution, such as fixed pattern noise and trailing.
If you connect the Camera Module V2 to the Pi, please connect a 15cm tape cable to the module slot and plug directly into the Pi camera serial interface port (CSI).
Once connected, we can access the camera module through the multimedia abstraction layer (MMAL) or Linux video (V4L) API.
Image control functions:It contains the functions of automatic exposure control, automatic white balance, band automatic filter, 50/60Hz brightness detection as well as automatic black level calibration.
